Broccoli bacon salad

1 cup Miracle whip dressing
2 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs vinegar
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
12 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 can mandarin oranges
1/2 cup cashews

Directions:
Mix dressing, sugar and vinegar in large bowl.
Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly. Refrigerate 1 hour until ready to serve.

Orental chicken salad

Dressing:
2 Tbs sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp accent
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup rice vinegar
2 Tbs sesame oil
3/4 tsp black pepper
* May add 1-2 Tbs hot Chinese mustard, or horseradish.

Toss dressing with lettuce, green onion, diced chicken, sesame seeds JUST BEFORE SERVING.

Deep fat fry Won ton wraps that have been cut into stripes, or 4 oz. Rice noodles.
It is also good to add one pkg. Chicken Ramon noodles. Put the pkg seasoning in the dressing. Sprinkle noodle on top.
May also sprinkle with chopped nuts, cashews, or peanuts.

Pancakes and cider sauce

Apple pancake
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 1/3 cups milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup grated apples
1 egg
Directions:
Beat baking mix, cinnamon, egg and milk with rotary beater until smooth. fold in apple.
Pour batter from 1/4 cup onto hot griddle.
Bake until bubbles appear. Turn and bake other side until golden brown. Serve with warm cider sauce.

Cider sauce:
1 cup sugar
2 cups apple cider
2 Tbs cornstarch
2 Tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 cup butter

Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch and spice in saucepan. Stir in cider and lemon juice. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat, blend in butter.

Moms dinner rolls

1 1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt

2 Tbs yeast soften in
1/2 cup water
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
7 cups flour. Add half the flour mix together then add remaining flour. Dough should be slightly sticky.
1/4 cup instant potato flakes

Let dough rise twice. Punch down after it rises once then let it rise again.
Shape dough and let rise 15 - 30 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 20 minutes depending on size.

Banana bread

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C. butter
3/4 C. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 C. mashed overripe bananas

Directions:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
*In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
*Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

Yummie chicken salad

2-3 chicken breasts cook, cooled, and cubed
celery diced
pineapple tidbits, drained
waterchestnuts, drained
red grapes, cut in half or not
grated cheese or not
cashew halfs
mayonaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice or not
salt and pepper
